Leadership Philosophy

The belief that all individuals are created in the image of the divine, deserving of equal and infinite value, is my North Star. It guides all my work, my relationships and how I try and treat strangers. Fostering a workplace where flexibility, compassion, and understanding thrive, free from micromanagement is something I strive for. I value honesty, loyalty, and respect for personal boundaries. My goal is to guide my team, to encourage them to fulfill their greatest potential, and be someone they can come to As a leader, my objective is to guide and empower my team to reach their utmost potential. I aspire to be a supportive figure, readily available for problem-solving or addressing concerns. Striking a balance between collaborative efforts and clear directives, I define our collective vision and cultivate intentional spaces for its realization. A strong foundation of mutual respect, coupled with good communication is essential in achieving our shared goals.

Drawing on my background in non profit operations, program creation, donor relations, and fundraising, I bring over a dozen years of expertise to the non-profit and philanthropic sector, complemented by two decades in the field of education. I have been told one of my superpowers is being a connector. I firmly believe that while individuals may initially engage with a mission, it's the establishment of authentic connections that encourages them to stay and generously contribute their time, talents, and resources. For me, it's all about relationships.

I work hard to understand complex and nuanced issues, especially as it relates to identity. I strive to hold and understand the parts of someone's identity that are historically marginalized as well as parts of someone's identity that are historically powerful. I recognize that making systemic changes can be messy and uncomfortable.

Within the philanthropic space, a significant portion of my focus has been on coaching Next Gen givers and orchestrating collaborative giving experiences. I prioritize forging connections with donors from diverse backgrounds, valuing every contribution, regardless of its size. My extensive experience encompasses the development and execution of campaigns tailored to specific objectives, such as mobilizing young donors, unifying affinity groups, and fortifying community bonds.I strive to build bridges between donors’ core values and the mission of the organization. Serving in a variety of roles from Director of Development to Executive Director, I am intimately familiar with communications, budgeting, strategic planning, and the collaborative execution of well-defined goals with a team.
